I love, love this movie! Funny, heartwarming, and clever at the same time! Who knew nerds could be super cool? And that robots could be the future of health care, or San Francisco would blend perfectly with Tokyo?

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Seriously, if you haven’t watched this, you are missing out a lot!

Lucy (2014)

Summary from IMDB:
A woman, accidentally caught in a dark deal, turns the tables on her captors and transforms into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic.

Comments:

Life was given to us a billion years ago. What have we done with it?

Started out brilliant, but it’s “awesomeness” gradually diminished for me. The concept, the characters – especially Scarlett Johansson – started off strong. I was just in awe of the scenes and what was happening. However, towards the middle, I can’t help but question, “How can a movie like this end?” True enough, the ending didn’t satisfy. I wish they could have done a lot more. I did like the scientific side of the story. People have been telling that some of the trivia were erroneous, so I wish they could corrected it that viewers won’t see it as common knowledge.

PS. Scarlett was hot though, as usual. 🙂
PPS. First time to watch at Trinoma! 🙂

As expected of this movie, it was super awesome! 🙂 That might be a bit biased since I love pandas, but I being one of the highest grossing movies for 2011, I think a lot would think likewise. Story was amazing, with a balance between the drama and the comedy. It was entertaining, and the action parts were cool. The animation was perfect! It is a must-watch movie for all ages. And the ending! Oh what can I say, it seems to be stating something. *ahem ahem* part 3?? 🙂 I should have watched this on the big screen! 🙂

As expected of action spy movies, this flick is unrealistic. Being “trained” young, Jolie who is supposedly a CIA turns about to be a Russian spy as well. There were a lot of stunts and action scenes, which I found entertaining, though it obviously would show that Jolie would handle them all. I just had to comment on the disguise she made. C’mon, she’s a trained agent all she did was dyed her hair black? The plot was okay, a bit predictable maybe, but it was enough to keep me going. This is one of ’em, “the-good-guys-turn-out-to-be-the-bad-guys type of movie. I badly want to speak Russian! The language is cool, and so are their names. There were a lot of errors noted, but I must say I enjoyed watching.

First, I wasn’t able to finish the movie. I was halfway with it when I realized I just want to read the summary and get away with it. Really, I was bored. I don’t like Emily Browning’s character (aka babydoll) in this movie and looking at her make-up and thick, false eyelashes adds to my irritation. As for the fight scenes, the effects were good, but somehow, I got bored with it. It wasn’t even exciting because they don’t even get hit with all the fighting that’s going on around them. And yeah, perfect chicks sporting those machine guns and other weapons? Supposed to be hot but I didn’t quite get the effect. I can’t believe my sister wants to watch this.

I cannot remember exactly the older version of this movie, although I know I’ve seen it and it was one of the more famous movies, with its title resounding even till this time. Jaden Smith was an annoying brat for me and to be honest, I don’t think he and his love interest match. It was kind of an awkward pairing. The fight scenes and his gradual improvement for shown just a little bit, with more of Jaden’s problems dominating the story. However, I see the lesson that they are trying to impart to the audience. It would have been an awesome movie, if not under the expectation of the original movie’s success.
